My work lives at the intersection of curiosity, craftsmanship, and material. Whether I’m working in glass, metal, or digital form, I’m driven by a need to understand how things are made—how materials react, how light moves through them, how structure emerges from fragments, and how order arises from chaos.

Originally trained in Communication Design at Parsons School of Design—studying in both New York and Paris—my creative path has always blended visual problem-solving with hands-on exploration. I’ve worked as an Art Director and Web Developer, studied computer science and cybersecurity through MIT’s certificate programs, and taught interactive design at Parsons. But it was through working with physical materials—starting with stained glass in 1991 and later silversmithing—that my fascination deepened into an obsession with the tactile, the precise, and the enduring.

This exploration eventually led me to kaleidoscopes—objects that fuse optics and engineering with creativity and play. Often crafted from custom-etched brass, these pieces explore the tension between symmetry and randomness, offering a mesmerizing, contemplative experience.

More recently, mosaic art has become another way I channel this inquiry—taking small, seemingly unrelated elements and guiding them into unity. From intimate pieces of jewelry to large-scale community installations, I bring the same meticulous craftsmanship and layered thinking to every project.

Teaching is a natural extension of my practice. I’ve led workshops in silversmithing, metal etching, and kaleidoscope-making at art institutions and in private settings—sharing not just technique, but also the joy of discovery through making. Teaching is one of my great joys: introducing students to new mediums, and then seeing those mediums freshly through their eyes. I always learn as much or more from my students as they do from me.

Ultimately, my studio is a space of experimentation and connection. Each material has its own rhythm, and every process reshapes my approach to the next. I create not just to express, but to explore—to turn raw matter into meaning, and to share the creativity that emerges through that transformation.

I live and work in Guilford, Connecticut, alongside my husband and a houseful of furry and finned companions.
